The Adult Arm (Fractured) Phantom is a life-size, anatomically realistic training and imaging model designed to replicate the anatomy of the human upper extremity with simulated bone fractures. Compatible with X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound imaging modalities, this versatile phantom is ideal for medical imaging education, clinical training, research, device evaluation, and protocol development.
The phantom enables users to assess and optimize diagnostic imaging procedures across a wide range of positioning techniques, imaging orientations, and scanning parameters. Its realistic anatomical structure and fracture representation provide valuable opportunities for practicing image acquisition, evaluating image quality, and developing advanced imaging workflows.
For MRI applications, the phantom tissues exhibit realistic T2 relaxation time values, making it particularly well suited for T2-weighted imaging techniques. Excellent image quality can also be achieved using proton-density-weighted MRI sequences. While the phantom remains compatible with T1-weighted imaging methods, the T1 relaxation times are less physiologically representative, with values typically around 100 ms.
To accommodate specific educational and research requirements, the phantom can also be customized with a variety of additional pathologies and anatomical modifications upon request, making it suitable for specialized training applications, targeted device testing, and protocol validation studies.
Note: By default, the phantom comes in a translucent amber appearance. A skin feature can be included upon request.
