The Newborn Head (Dynamic) phantom is designed for medical imaging of blood flow beneath the skull. It resembles an average newborn head, using realistic tissue-mimicking materials suitable for Ultrasound, MRI, and X-Ray/CT. The skull pieces are individually cast from patented epoxy-based bone material.

The Newborn Head (Dynamic) phantom is designed to be suitable for medical imaging of blood flow underneath the skull. The phantom is designed based on an average newborn head and is made out of realistic soft and hard tissue-mimicking materials suitable for Ultrasound, MRI, and X-Ray/CT applications. This newborn head phantom makes for a great tool for angiography training and applications. The skull pieces are individually cast from our realistic patented epoxy-based bone material. This phantom can be used with Barium-sulfate, Iodine-based, Gadolinium-based, Microbubble, and Iron Oxide-based contrast mediums.

In terms of MRI applications, the phantom tissues have realistic T2 relaxation time values, which makes this product the best fit for any T2-weighted MRI imaging methods. Very good results can also be achieved with proton-density imaging methods. The phantom can still be imaged with T1-weighted methods, but the T1 values are less realistic, and they are within the range of about 100 ms.

The phantom can be customized to fit a wide variety of biomedical applications.

Note: By default, the phantom comes in a translucent amber appearance. The skin feature can be included upon request.
